Ombrelle is a macOS app developed by Lionel Guichard ("we", "us", "our"). This page explains what information Ombrelle and this website collect, why, and how it's handled. We've tried to keep it as short and plain as the app itself.
Personal data
When you buy Ombrelle, your payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your name, email address, and billing details to process the transaction, prevent fraud, and issue receipts. We receive your email and purchase details from Stripe so we can deliver your license and provide support.
If you contact us directly for support, we'll use the email address you provide only to respond to you. We don't sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
App usage information
Ombrelle runs entirely on your Mac. It doesn't phone home, doesn't track how you use it, and doesn't collect analytics from inside the app. Nothing about your windows, apps, or activity ever leaves your machine.
The app may occasionally check for updates over the network. This request only includes basic information needed to serve the correct update (such as your current version and macOS version).
Website usage information
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site: page views, general location, device type, and referral source. This helps us improve the site; it doesn't identify you personally, and we don't use it for advertising.
We use Cloudflare for content delivery and security, which means some request metadata (like your IP address) passes through Cloudflare's network to keep the site fast and protected from abuse.
Payments
All payments for Ombrelle are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe handles that securely on our behalf. Read Stripe's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment data.
Children's privacy
Ombrelle is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Ombrelle or this website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
